A Musical Evening of Puzzles and Prestidigitation featuring David Kwong

Presented by the Board of the Laguna Concert Band
Friday, October 9, 2015
Hosted by Gregg and Kathleen Abel, Laguna Beach, CA

An insightful, entertaining, tasty and literally, "magical" evening was enjoyed by nearly 100 special guests at the home of Kathleen and Gregg Abel in Laguna Beach Friday evening October 9 presented by Laguna’s true hidden gem…The Laguna Concert Band.

An exclusive showing of Laguna College of Art + Design’s 2015 Summer Animation Master Class Stop-Motion Short, “Un Garçon et Sa Bête” (“A Boy and his Beast”) and Traditional Animation Short, “The Big Dad Wolf” was presented. Music for both LCAD projects were scored by Alexander Burke and recorded by the Laguna Concert Band at Capitol Studios in Hollywood, CA. Musical Entertainment was provided by Gary Gould and Joe Tabris of the Laguna Concert Band with special guest Alexander Burke.

The highlight of the evening's entertainment was presented by David Kwong who combined his expertise in illusion and passion for film into a memorizing and unbelievable presentation . Through an association with our Dr. James McGaugh, learning and memory expert - and board member and clarinet and sax player in the Laguna Concert Band, the audience was mesmerized during the "unforgettable" event.
