Laguna JaZz Band

Laguna JaZz is affiliated with the Laguna Community Concert Band. The Jazz Big Band is comprised of accomplished musicians who play in the Concert Band.

The “Big Band” is a traditional 18 piece Jazz Band; 5 Saxophones, 4-5 Trombones, 4 Trumpets, Piano, Bass, Guitar, Drum-set and Aux Percussionist. The band features a fine Female vocalist.

We have recently created the Jazz Quintet and Jazz Sax Septet with Rhythm to meet the needs of smaller functions.

The Jazz groups perform for many different functions in the town of Laguna Beach and the surrounding areas. Our music has a wide range including Swing, Latin, Blues and Pop Styles as well as Vocal Jazz. We can work with you on special function music.

Laguna JaZz also plays for private events with the Big Band and the smaller groups being available according to your needs. The band has all the music and equipment to make your event a wonderful musical experience.

If you are interested in playing in this program as a wind player you must be a regular member of the Concert Band, have a good level of playing skills and will be placed when space becomes available. Subbing-in for an absent player will be a good way to start.
