Paul Edwin Parsons Jr. age 87, passed away May 28, 2016 at 11:10 PM at his home in Huntington Beach,Calif. surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, the former Martha Bunting, one son, Stephen Paul Parsons, four grandchildren, Amber Zack (James) of Colorado, Mattheau Parsons (Nina) of Huntington Beach, and Ashley and Heather Parsons of Huntington Beach, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Jean Parsons, a daughter Lori Parsons, brothers John and Fred Parsons, and sisters Vera Rapp, and Shirley Mendenhall. He was a graduate of Lash High School, Class of 1949.
Paul was in the military service 1951-1953 in the Army Band, stationed in Tokyo, Japan. He was a past member of Lafayette Lodge #79. He was founder and CEO of Metropolitan Chemical Company, Long Beach California. He enjoyed Golf, Tennis, Judo, and he played the Saxophone in the Laguna Beach California Community Band.

Jack Robert DeLora

December 4, 1923 - January 11, 2012

Jack Robert DeLora passed away peacefully on January 11, 2012 at his home in Laguna Beach, California, surrounded by his loving family. H e was born December 4, 1923 in Muskegon, Michigan, the oldest of four brothers. After completing high school, he enlisted in the Marine Corps and served in World War II. After the war, he went to college on the GI bill and graduated from Michigan State with a Doctorate in Sociology and Anthropology. Later he served the Marines again in the Korean War. He remained in the reserves and retired as a Lt. Colonel. He lived most of his life in San Diego where he was a Professor of Sociology at San Diego State University for over thirty years. Jack was an avid tennis player and a lifetime musician. He played in various bands in San Diego, Laguna Beach, and Coos Bay, Oregon. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed skin diving. Jack is survived by his loving and devoted wife Linda, daughters Susan DeLora of San Diego, Annette Cox of Fort Worth, Texas, Jilla Greco of San Diego, and three grandchildren. - Published in U-T San Diego on Jan. 17, 2012 See more here.
